First Recipient defined:
- The First Recipient is the project team member who initially receives all RFIs or Submittals upon creation.
- The First Recipient can either:
(a) Route the RFI or Submittal to another project team member to get their feedback, or
(b) Finalize the item with a response; so long as they have Close access rights.
Helpful Hint: Most of the time, the Architect is responsible for reviewing RFIs & Submittals; however, your organization can choose any role to perform this task.
To update the First Recipient for RFIs:
- From inside the project, click the red gear icon on the right-hand side of the page to open Project Admin Settings.
Helpful Hint: If you don't see the red gear icon, then you do not have access to make this change. Please check with your Site Admin to get the changes made that you need.
- Under" "Construction Mgmt", click Request for Information
- Select the RFI Thread where you want to set or change the first recipient.
- Click the dropdown menu in the First Recipient field & select the appropriate user from the list.Helpful Hint: If the individual is not listed as an option in the First Recipient drop-down, then perform the following checks:a) Is the individual a user in this project?c) Does this individual's role have at least Add and Route access rights?b) Is the individual in the correct role in this project?
- Click Save in the top-right corner to finalize the changes.
To update the First Recipient for Submittals:
- From inside the project, click the red gear icon on the right-hand side of the page to open Project Admin Settings.
Helpful Hint: If you don't see the red gear icon, then you do not have access to make this change. Please check with your Site Admin to get the changes made that you need.
- Under" "Construction Mgmt", click Submittal/Shop Drawing
- Select the Submittal Thread where you want to set or change the first recipient.
- Click the dropdown menu in the First Recipient field & select the appropriate user from the list.Helpful Hint: If the individual is not listed as an option in the First Recipient drop-down, then perform the following checks:a) Is the individual a user in this project?c) Does this individual's role have at least Add and Route access rights?b) Is the individual in the correct role in this project?
- Click Save in the top-right corner to finalize the changes.
