It has been observed that Apple iOS users may intermittently experience an issue where uploading specific photos into the Projectmates Mobile App yields no results and no error message. This is due to the “Optimize iPhone Storage” setting in iCloud Photos section. This feature stores the full version of selectively picked photos in iCloud to reserve and optimize space locally on your iPhone. This feature is fine to leave on and turning off will not change what has already been optimized.
There is a work-around that will allow you to upload photos from your device without adjusting any settings. The solution is to prompt the phone to download a version of those photos locally on your device from iCloud.
*Note: Always make sure your Projectmates app is up-to-date.
Follow these steps to resolve this issue:
Access your Photos App
Tap the Select button in the upper right corner of your screen.
Tap on each photo you want to upload into Projectmates. This will put a small blue check mark icon in the lower right corner of the image.
Once all the images have been selected, tap the share icon in the lower left of the screen. This is a small blue square with an arrow pointing up in the middle.
From the menu that appears, tap on Copy Photo.
Now return to Projectmates app and attempt to upload your photos again.
