Projectmates collaborative markup tool allows users to simultaneously annotate a PDF at the same time. Markups that a user makes will immediately display for other users editing the PDF in real-time even across differing platforms such as desktop or Mobile app. This technology is supported on all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari) and IOS devices.
How to Mark-up a PDF file from desktop
- Once inside a project, click on the Documents tab and drill further into the document Menu/Folder to access the PDF file.
- Open the file in PDF viewer by clicking on the Mark-up icon (The icon turns yellow when Markup have been saved to file in Projectmates).
- In Collaborative mode, you can use different annotation tools such as Mark-up Pen, Signature, insert image, Note, Text Search.
- Click the Save icon to save your markups to original file or simply close the tab to keep your mark ups in draft mode.
Note: Your role needs Mark up access right to open the file in collaborative mode, else the file will open in Read only mode.
How to Mark-up a PDF file using Projectmates Mobile App.
- Login to Projectmates app using your IOS device.
- Once logged in tap on My Projects link, select the project that you wish to work in from Favorites or All list.
- Once inside a project, tap on Document Management link and further drill into the document menu/folder to access the PDF file.
- Tap on the file name to open the file in PDF viewer.
- Tap on the Notepad icon to open the Mark-up tool bar. You can use different annotation tools such as Mark-up pen, Notes, text search or insert image.
- Tap on X icon to return back to Main menu. Tap on Save icon to save your changes to Projectmates or Tap Done to keep the Mark-ups in Draft mode.
Note: Your role needs Mark up access right to open the file in collaborative mode, else the file will open in Read only mode.
