Managing Change Orders is important to every project, and Projectmates tracks them through our Cost Tracking tools.
Helpful Hint: If the initial contract was linked to the budget, change orders against that contract will be reflected in your budget automatically. These updates will display on the Cost tab within the Budget module.
Items Linked to the Budget:
Items that are linked to the budget from the contract will display with a blue dot in the Items tab of the change order. You can click on the 3-dot icon to View Links and see the Contract and Budget links displayed.
Pending Change Orders:
Once the approval has been started for a change order that is linked to the budget, the value will be reflected in Column L, typically labeled "Pending CO".
Helpful Hint: Change Orders that are linked to the budget but do not have an approval workflow initiated will not reflect in the budget.
Approved Change Orders:
Once a change order that is linked to the budget has been fully approved, the value will be reflected in Column J, typically labeled "Approved COs".
